A family who live in the beautiful Berkshire countryside are looking for a nanny for their 3 children. They have 10 and 8 year old girls and a 6 year old boy. They are looking for an active, responsible, organised and outdoorsy nanny. Someone who will bring their own ideas to the table while also being a great listener and keen to learn. As they live in the countryside it is essential that you drive (the two schools and a 5 and 10 minute drive away). The family will provide you with your own car. All three children are in full time school. The girls Mon-Sat, 8am-5:45pm (but 4pm finish Weds) and the boy 8:30am-4pm Mon-Fri. Their 6 year old son has severe additional needs but attends mainstream school. He is totally cognitively aware but isn't able to speak or walk and is learning sign language. He has home physiotherapy each Friday which will be a great chance for you to learn from the physio about different activities to do with him. He loves puzzles and drawing and is a super upbeat and positive little boy. The girls are keen riders and have their own pony. Therefore, you will ideally be comfortable around horses. They are leaning French (and the eldest Latin) at school. They do most their homework at school but you will be required to help with some homework, e.g. spelling. As well as the pony, they have a 2 cats, 10 chickens and a turkey They are flexible on the schedule. The key times are 7-9am and 3:30-7:30pm Monday to Friday. You won't be required to work every morning if you wish not to as the parents can assist when home (although both will travel for work on occasion). Some increased hours in school hols but the parents take a lot of time off to spend with the kids. You will have a large break during the day but will be expected to take care of child related housekeeping, organising their weekly schedules and cooking for them. You will have your own section of the house complete with a lovely bedroom, bathroom and living room.
