There is no cost to you for the service of finding a nursery or a childminder, or for seeking general advice on childcare. There is also no cost to to you for the service of finding a nanny, for the first month. The next two months, BCG will cover 50% of the cost. After that, 10% discount is applied to the cost. The benefit will save you more more than £600.

The cost of the actual childcare, e.g. paying the nursery or paying the nanny is paid by you. 

This benefit is for people who need to find a new nanny, a new nursery or a new childminder. If you already have a nanny, the benefit would apply to you if you were needing a different nanny due to the change in your circumstances, e.g. relocation.  

Not at the moment, as the benefit is meant to help you with permanent childcare setup, but get in touch with us and we will be able to give you a discount.

That depends on both the type of childcare you’ll be using and your specific circumstances. As a rule of thumb, some nurseries and childminders, especially in London get booked up far in advance, sometimes more than a year ahead. If you’re looking for a nanny, you should start actively search 6-8 weeks before you’d like the nanny to start. Get in touch and we can suggest the best timelines for you.
